A man will spend a lot of time in jail for taking a video of his boss setting a man on fire.
23-year-old Lorenzo Fonerin of Brooklyn, New York, was working at a convenience store when his boss allegedly asked him to record the incident.
Owner Suliman Ahmed was unhappy that the homeless man was sleeping on the sidewalk outside of his store and decided to burn him.
Ahmed is accused of dousing 38-year-old Tasheen Hand, with lighter fluid before lighting matches and dropping it on the victim.
Hand suffered severe burns on over 30 percent of his body. Passersby doused the homeless man with water.
Fonerin, who stood by and did not help the victim as he was being burned, was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
His lawyer, David Chidekel, said that his client “played a foolish role by listening to his boss.”
However, he claimed that the foolishness of taking a video doesn’t warrant such a harsh prison sentence.
Ahmed is expected to stand trial later this year.
