Female teacher, 45, buys strawberry lubricant to have sex with 11-year-old boy at movie theater

A teacher was arrested after she set up a meeting with her student to have sex at a movie theater.

45-year-old Alecia Dotson of Florida, brought strawberry flavored lubricant to a movie theater in hopes of having sex with her fifth-grade student, police said.

Lakeland police set up a sting operation to catch Dotson after investigators discovered more than 100 inappropriate text messages between her and the 11-year-old student.

Dotson, who is a teacher’s aide at the Highland Grove Elementary School, called the boy “Love Bug.”

She allegedly told police that she was a mentor for the child before she developed a crush on him.

The boy’s mother learned of the inappropriate relationship when she read a text message on his phone. She found dozens of graphic and sexually explicit messages, and called the police.

While officers were at the home, Dotson sent the boy another text saying: “Love Bug what you’re doing.”

Police confiscated the boy’s phone. On Tuesday, Dotson sent another text: “Are you awake Love Bug.”

Officers posed as the 11-year-old boy and replied to the text message. They set up a meeting at the Lakeland mall movie theater for sex.

Dotson thought she was going to meet the boy. Police said that she stopped at a store in the mall to buy strawberry warming lubricant.

Police arrested Dotson when she arrived at the cinema as planned.

She told investigators that her love affair with the boy began about three weeks ago.

Dotson faces a number of charges, including 2 counts of attempted sexual battery on a child, using a computer to solicit a child, traveling to meet a minor and unlawful use of communications.
